Dear Holmdel Community Members and Friends:
Welcome to the website for the Holmdel Foundation for
Educational Excellence (the “HFEE”). This website provides
information about our organization and invites you to become
familiar with the many gifts the HFEE has donated to the Holmdel
School District since its inception in 1996. Our donations have
been made possible through your support and the website also
offers various ways you can continue to help.
This past school year, the HFEE donated the Village School Rain
Gardens Outdoor Classroom Amenities. The Rain Gardens recycle
storm water run-off to create beautiful and environmentally
progressive seasonal Rain Gardens along with tremendous learning
opportunities for all the children of Village School. This gift
completes the Rain Gardens project by offering a fully
functional outdoor learning environment for lessons that
directly tie into the science curriculum in all grades. In the
2009/10 school year, the HFEE ran a very successful fundraising
campaign to purchase the World Language Lab which is a state of
the art, all digital language lab located in the Satz/HHS
complex. In addition, the HFEE provided numerous classroom
grants to teachers which enhance the curriculum and learning
environment in all four schools for students every day. These
are just a few key examples of what the HFEE has done only in
the past two years. However, our impact on the Holmdel District
School is quite extensive following our fifteen years in
operation. To be sure, a visit to any of the schools cannot not
be had without coming across some updated equipment or great
program made possible by the HFEE.
In these times loaded with fiscal constraints at the local,
state and federal levels, the work of the HFEE is more important
than ever because our children’s’ educations are more important
than ever. It is our important responsibility to see that our
children receive the best education possible so that they are
prepared for the future. Please commit to continuing your
support of the HFEE. You can do this by participating in one of
our many fundraisers. For example, this year we will begin our
Annual Giving Campaign in early November. Please make a
donation. We are also planning our annual Dinner Dance to take
place at the Trump National Golf Course on March 10, 2012.
Please keep the date open. We also have a new fundraiser called
the Scrip Gift Certificate Program. Please fill all your gift
certificate needs and much more by going to our website and
purchasing gift cards through us. The HFEE will get a percentage
of every gift card sold. Lastly, we need help! Please consider
volunteering for one of our fun committees or even becoming a
Trustee. If you are interested, please download our
